Meet the GREATEST Grandma of ALL time!... Mrs. Ann Heath

I just wanted to brag on my sweet grandmother for a moment. This past weekend my family and I celebrated my grandma's 75th birthday with a low-country boil out at her house. It was a beautiful day to celebrate such a wonderful person. It's only obvious, but I have to say it... she looks dog-on good for her age and I just pray that is good new for me one day :-) She is not a typical grandmother that bakes ya cookies and gives you what you want... she is a very strong woman and has always instilled such good morals and character in all of her grandchildren as much as possibly could. She is 'new-age' if you will... she has a facebook, can create a mean newsletter for any occasion, goes to Las Vegas 3 to 4 times a year and gets manicures every few weeks. I love it! She has so many great stories and knows a TON of songs and sings them all perfectly. I am so thankful for such a wonderful woman in my life and pray that there are many more years ahead for her.

Weekend Reviews...

The weekend in Orlando was awesome! Friday night we played games and ate pizza. By the way, the pizza in Orlando is double the price in Jacksonville. I guess they figure everybody loves pizza and usually eat it on vacation and would/will pay an arm and leg for it. Blah! If you haven't tried the game "Bananagrams" you must try it! It is so much fun and very similar to Scrabble. By far, one of my favorite games at the moment.

Saturday was eventful too! We sat through an owner's meeting for our timeshare and got a free $60 bucks... the perks that come with our timeshare is amazing! Then we headed out for a little canoe adventure, and then it was off the pool. We ate Wakiki Grill by the pool where some dude had a LIVE alligator and DJ. It was like spring-break Disney Channel style. There were a bunch of families. Chad and I shared a ham & cheese melt... I have to admit, I like anything ending in 'melt' because it usually means it has butter and cheese... my favorite! Saturday night we all went to dinner at "The Elephant Bar" (www.elephantbar.com). Pretty good food and kind of Cheesecake Factory like with all of their varieties of food from Asian to Italian.

Sunday was the best! We went to IKEA and spent 4 hours there! It was flippin' great! So much to take in and so economical. I seriously love a bargain and IKEA has plenty of them! It was a wonderful weekend and I was sad to see it end, but ya know, that is just how it goes. Now back to the grind!

Heading to O'town

This weekend is finally here :-) We are heading to Orlando for the weekend! (YAY!) The picture above is the resort we are staying at called The Fountiains. It is awesome. There is just something about going to a hotel/resort that forces you to relax. No worries about washing clothes, cleaning tubs, or vacuuming. Sadly, I look forward to cable TV, I know, I'm lame. We have never had cable and when we go out of town or for a little getaway, we always seem to watch a lot of TV. HGTV, TLC, and Food Network are some of our favorites. It's a good thing we don't have it at the house because I dont' think we would get much accomplished :-)

Something pretty special about this weekend is that our friends Joy and Charlie are going with us. Charlie is in the Army and just got back from Afghanistan. He said it was rough and is still adjusting. They are such a great couple :-) Joy and I have known each other since we were wee kiddies. She is like a sister to me and I love her dearly.

IKEA here we come! I'm taking Chadwick there for the very first time this weekend. The store in Orlando is ginormous! We are stoked. I will share more when we get back :-)

My Very Own Bicycle!

For theeeeee longest time Chadwick and I have talked about getting bikes....well, last night we ordered them online (walmart.com) and the will be here next week! I am excited about all of the vintage splendor that they are. Chadwick thinks the masculinity is taken out of something when it is labeled 'cute', but seriously, they are super 'cute'! The hunt begins for a little basket for the front of mine :-) (mine is the mint green, his is royal blue)
